Prince Jared is trapped in the cave in his huge spider form. By fighting with his "food" he comes into contact with the blood of his soul mate and can finally change his shape again and also flee. He chases the criminals because one of them is his companion.
Jensen narrowly escapes capture several times. Now he's also terrified of spiders. Nevertheless, he moves to Spider City to his uncle to hide there.
Then he receives an invitation to the royal ball in the Spider Castle, which he cannot refuse as a new city dweller.

Branded - The Cabin
Omega!Jared is infertile. After being bought and discarded by four diffrent masters, his condition is discovered and he ends up in a medical facility where the government harvests the organs of omegas before putting them down.
Enters alpha! cutthroat!lawyer Jensen -- not to save any omega, not looking for Jared specifically, he's there to check out the MHC if his employer (Misha Collins) would like to invest there.
Surprise!soulmating ensues. Neither of them is particularly pleased, but Jensen can't really leave him there now, can he?
Branded - The City
Jared and Jensen return after their bonding time back to the city. Life could be good but Jared is still troubled by his past and Jensen has to learn to take responsibilties and choose a side.

Summary: Jensen felt the exact moment he when he lost the fight. True, he had been sure that Jared wanted to be his mate but he never thought Jared would fight, or that he could fight like he did and now the whole Greylock Pack witnessed his defeat; the defeat of their pack alpha.
